Announcement from AustCham Shanghai New Board
On the 7th July 2022, your newly elected AustCham Shanghai Board held their first meeting for the new term, including an update on the Chamber's position, training for new Board members, and the selection of the Chair, Deputy Chair, and the Board Committee (Audit & Risk; HR; Nominations) Chairs and members.
AustCham Shanghai is very pleased to announce the continuation of Heidi Dugan, and Tony Zhang, as Chair and Deputy Chair.
Both have led the Board extremely well over the past 12 months and lived and worked in Shanghai for more than 25 years. Heidi and Tony bring to the roles a unique set of skills and experiences, including particular expertise in FMCG, media, market entry and expansion consulting, finance, and government relations. The Board is confident in the leadership that Heidi and Tony will continue to bring to the Chamber.

As we step into the second half of the calendar year after a long and turbulent 6 months, I hope members and the community have seen strength in AustCham Shanghai, its CEO, Simon Woods, and the supporting team.
The reelection as Chair and Deputy Chair allows continuity and uninterrupted support for the ongoing strategy and values of the Chamber. We are honored to be placed into these positions to help be a voice for members in the Chambers direction and encourage members to pass on feedback and insights. Over the coming months, we will run a Members Townhall, giving members a forum to give feedback on the Chamber's direction for the coming year.
We have plans for the remainder of the year, Covid allowing, but our positioning allows us to be agile and adaptable if need be, ensuring that no matter the circumstances, AustCham Shanghai will be here to support and generate value for members.

It is with utmost regret that AustCham Shanghai accepts the resignation from the recently appointed Non-Executive Director of the Board, Joanne Wood, due to other long-standing scheduling conflicts.
