Michael has recently joined MinterEllison as a Senior Consultant in its Shanghai Office. He is an experienced corporate lawyer and has been based in Shanghai for more than 20 years. Michael has provided legal, strategic and business advisory services to foreign investors throughout China and to Chinese investors investing offshore. He has advised clients on a range of general corporate, commercial and governance matters and provides guidance on legal issues including corporate governance, compliance, taxation, foreign acquisitions and investment, across many industries.
He is devoted to increasing corporate Australia's awareness of China and its social and economic impact on Australia. He is a National Board member of the Australia China Business Council and has previously served three terms on the Board of AustCham Shanghai in which he has been involved as a member for over 20 years.
