Appointment of New Board Directors of AustCham Shanghai

Dear Members,

The Board recently called for an expression of interest from eligible members to fill two vacancies on the Board of Directors.

The process of appointing new Directors has been managed by the Board’s Nominations Committee, and I am pleased to advise that based on the committee’s recommendations the Board has now appointed Ms Unice Liu and Mr Cameron Hume to join the Board.

Unice Liu is the Managing Director and Partner at Baldwin Boyle Group. She has been a great supporter of AustCham Shanghai through her voluntary participation in the Women and Business Industry Committee, provision of staff training, and speaking on forum panels. Amongst other things, her marketing and communications skills add great value to the Board.

Cameron Hume is the Managing Director (Asia Pacific) at Travelex and has been a supporter of AustCham Shanghai for the last 17 years. In recent years he has been an active member of the Financial Services Industry committee. He brings a wealth of China experience and financial management skills to the Boardroom.

The Nominations Committee and the Board have been focused on maintaining a diverse range of skills and personal background on the Board, while always seeking Directors who have demonstrated a commitment to, and understanding of, our community over a long period of time. The current Board composition is:

Craig Aldous (Chairman)

Craig Weightman (Deputy Chairman)

Jack Brady (CEO & Executive Director)

Stephanie Liu

Simon Lance

Heidi Dugan

Nelson Gable

Unice Liu

Udo Doring

Gerald Cornelius

Cameron Hume

A brief profile of each Board Director is available on our website www.austchamshanghai.com. I congratulate the recently appointed Directors and look forward to working with them for the benefit of our community over the coming months until our Board elections and AGM in June.

Your Sincerely,

Craig Aldous
Chairman of the Board
