AustCham Shanghai Board Update
It is with utmost regret that AustCham Shanghai accepts the resignation from the recently appointed Non-Executive Director of the Board, Joanne Wood. As a dedicated member of the Chamber and elected Board Director, Joanne takes the commitment to members, the community, and the Chamber very seriously. However, due to other long-standing scheduling conflicts, Joanne is unable to meet the obligations of a Board Director, and has determined to resign and vacate the position.
AustCham Shanghai’s newly appointed Nominations Committee will now follow Clause 9, Schedule B of the Members Charter, to begin the process to recommend an appropriate candidate to the Board for a simple majority vote. The vacancy will be filled immediately after the Board decision, and the appointed person would be required to stand for re-election at the 2023 AGM.
