AustCham Shanghai CIIE Week Events Kicked Off
AustCham Shanghai was honored to host a breakfast with Australia's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Graham Fletcher on Friday 6th November.
The Ambassador addressed the bilateral relationship and the new economy formed between Australia and China. Daniel Boyer from Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) also spoke of the opportunities for Australian business in China and the trends of digitalisation. It was great to see a full room of attendance at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai.
Following the breakfast we had the webinar with the Minister for Trade, the Hon MP Simon Birmingham, joined by the Ambassador H.E. Mr. Graham Fletcher, David Olsson and James Scullin from Australia China Business Council, and our Executive Director and General Manager Bede Payne. The Minister spoke of the importance of the China market and opportunities generated by the Australia-China commercial relationship. He also answered a few questions on a range of topics from our members.
