AustCham Shanghai feature in The Australian
Why more Aussies are calling Australia home – just like us!
In an exciting interview with The Australian, our own CEO Jack Brady, explains how the plans for Australia House (set to open next month) have been built around the changing nature of Australian business in Shanghai.
As you know, we have been working on this incredible project to build a dedicated space for Australian Businesses in China, in partnership with our member company 安垦 ANKEN Group. Alexandra Chu, a Melbourne-born architect, now property developer and CEO/Founder of 安垦 ANKEN Group is also featured in The Australian write up.
Whist the number of Australians living and working in China has fallen, there has been a rise in more local Chinese working as part of Australian companies. Playing an active role in hosting events for the Australian business community in Shanghai, the Chamber has now established the Alumni Alliance to meet the needs of the large number of Chinese returnees graduating from Australia. According to our Chamber Chairman, Craig Aldous “We strongly believe that by having Chinese alumni in our community, we are going to create a lot more opportunities and connections for Australian and Chinese companies operating in the China-Australia space.”
