Members of AustCham Shanghai’s Government Relations Roundtable recently embarked on a very successful 2 day Canberra Engagement Trip. Kicking off on the 18th of June, 9 Austcham Shanghai Delegates met with several key federal ministers and senior officials to discuss the issues affecting Australian businesses on the ground in China. Those they met included:

On the 19th, the delegation attended the Australia-China Business Council 2018 Canberra Networking day (CND). The CND presents a unique opportunity to meet with federal ministers and senior officials charged with the major public policy decisions driving the Sino-Australian trade and investment relationship as well as networking with senior business and industry leaders.
The event included 4 expert panels covering the topics: E-commerce and digital marketing; International education; Healthcare & aged care; Creative and performing arts and sport. The day also included keynote speeches from a number of Ministers and Shadow Ministers including Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
The trip concluded with a reception at the Chinese Embassy, capping off an excellent two days of discussion.
