Australia-China Sports Summit 2018 Highlights
The importance of localizing sports content, the cruciality of partnering with local media to reach Chinese sports fans, and the growing role of sports diplomacy were some of the key themes covered during the 2018 Australia-China Sports Summit. Held in Shanghai on October 16 and 17, 2018, the Summit saw almost 150 people come together for 12 quality sessions and 2 closed door roundtables with 25 speakers across the two days.
Sport is a passion project for AustCham Shanghai. Having seen the rise of sport in China and the real opportunity for Australian organisations and businesses in the market we were delighted to see a large contingent of Chinese speakers join us for the second edition of the Summit and facilitate networking opportunities for Australian sports businesses looking to expand in the region.
