Donghai Airlines Launches Direct Darwin-Shenzhen Flights
Darwinites will be able to fly direct to China for the first time, in what the NT Government is billing as a game-changer for Asian tourism.
For the first time ever, Darwinites will be able to fly directly fly to and from mainland China. Donghai Airlines has launched direct flights from the financial centre of Shenzhen to the NT capital. Chief Minister Michael Gunner says these new flights have the potential to boost the economy by AU$32 million annually, easily facilitating the targeted increase of Chinese tourists from 18,000 to over 30,000, with 35,000 new airline seats to Darwin now open.
