Our CEO & Executive Director Jack Brady said, “Our vision for Australia House was to harness Shanghai’s position as China’s international business hub and create a space for our members and partners to collaborate and thrive together, while serving as an entry-point for new Australian businesses entering the China market.”
Australian organisations including Tennis Australia, the Australian Football League (AFL), Business Events Sydney, William Angliss and SMATS Group will be basing their offices in the building.
AustCham Shanghai chose to partner with one of its long-term member companies Anken Group, a real estate development company focused on creating sustainable buildings to deliver the project. Anken Group is co-founded by Australian Alex Chu and has developed more than 90,000 square metres across more than 10 buildings in Shanghai.
Many of AustCham Shanghai’s annual business events will take place at Australia House to drive further engagement for the business community and AustCham Shanghai’s member organisations will now have access to meeting rooms and event spaces, the drop-in hot-desking member lounge, and facilities for their business trips to Shanghai.
