Event Recap: ANZAC Day Aussie & Kiwi Drinks & Deputy Chairman Farewell
It was a great turnout on Friday night at Henkes for the joint ANZAC Day Aussie and Kiwi Drinks. The previous shared drinks were a fundraiser back in January 2020 for the Australian Bushfire appeal. What an incredible Covid fuelled rollercoaster of a ride we have had since then, so it was great to reconnect and no more poignant occasion than ANZAC to get the community together again.
Many thanks to everyone who made it there and made it a great night. We would also like to extend many thanks to all the sponsors for raffle prizes, the wonderful staff at Henkes, the Australian Consul-General Mr Dominic Trindade and the New Zealand Consul-General Stephen Wong for opening the event.
It was also an emotional night as we bid farewell to a long time stalwart of AustCham Shanghai and the Aussie community, our Deputy Chairman Craig Weightman. We together wish all the best to Craig and good luck with his new adventure in Australia!
