Event recap: Engage China Trade Mission
In May, AustCham Shanghai facilitated The 2019 Engage China Trade Mission, a delegation led by the Advisory Board Centre (ABC). The Trade Mission provided a group of delegates from Australia with the opportunity to learn what's happening on the ground in China today. Engage China was specifically designed for business leaders and advisors to provide practical insights, current knowledge and valuable contacts in key Chinese markets. The Engage China Trade Mission was just one of the many fantastic events held during Festival of Australia.
This year's itinerary saw delegates attend the prestigious Australia China Business Awards (ACBA) in Hong Kong and site visits to some of China's most prominent businesses, such as Huawei.
Delegates were also provided with opportunities to connect with experts in key industries in China including emerging technology, professional services and consumer services. The group also has the chance to attend presentations and Roundtable discussions on the Chinese e-commerce market.
If you are interested in planning a visiting delegation to China please feel free to contact Jack Brady at jack.brady@austchamshanghai.com or Ali Groch at ali.groch@austchamshanghai.com for any enquiries you may have.
"The 2019 Engage China Trade Mission was a wonderful insight into doing business in HK & China via presentations, site tours and meeting key contacts. The hosts and presenters were engaging with a candid approach which was refreshing. The Mission provided an opportunity to understand what business support is available when engaging in these markets."
