James Wong, Senior Vice President and McKinsey & Company, spoke on the importance of understanding cultural mindset when it comes to decision making. Despite rapid developments in technology, supply chains, and management styles, goods remain sourced in a similar way as they always have in China.
James stressed the importance of developing personal relationships in China specifically. Every aspect of procurement in China is influenced by this pervasive set of personal networks.
