THOUGHT LEADERS


Rob Gardner

Rob is the Investment Director on the executive board for St. James’s Place Wealth Management, and CEO of St. James’s Place Unit Trust Group Limited. He is responsible for the Investment Proposition to help Partners grow and protect the wealth of their clients. He is an advocate for financial education and founder of the charity RedSTART. Rob authored the children’s book Save Your Acorns to teach children how money works.

Rob will be talking about a range of sustainability related subjects including climate change, financial education, and sustainable investment management and will share his views on why these are even more important given all we have learned in 2020.



Hamish Douglass

Hamish is the co-founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Magellan Financial Group, and Lead Portfolio Manager of Magellan’s Global Equity strategies. He is also the lead manager of the St. James’s Place International Equity Fund and a Director of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

Hamish will touch on economic recovery and technology trends, such as digitalisation, cloud computing and AI and their influence on the future investment landscape.



Michelle Sun

Michelle is the founder of First Code Academy, a leading coding and STEM education institute for kids from 4 to 18 years old and author of Amazon Best Seller First Time Coders. She is also an adviser at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’s Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL).

Prior to starting First Code, she held various technical roles in high growth startups in Silicon Valley, including Buffer and Bump Technologies (acquired by Google) and started her career at Goldman Sachs. Her work has received international and regional accolades including the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Asia List and BBC 100 Influential Women. Michelle will be talking about technological mega-trends and how they would shape the lives of the younger generations and what this could mean for building a sustainable future.
