The Export Group and Metcash Asia Sign China Market Cooperation Agreement
The Export Group (TEG) and Metcash Asia (MTA) a fully owned subsidiary of Metcash Group (MTS.ASX) have agreed to co-operate In China to add value to clients of both companies.
Areas of cooperation will include:
- Sharing of distribution channels in China across multiple segments of offline and online sectors
- Joint marketing and promotion of the #realChina brand rollout across third, fourth and fifth tier cities in China
- Joint marketing of a suite of consulting services focused on market entry, market strategy and in-market execution for overseas brands
- Sharing of back office resources in Shanghai
At a signing ceremony in Changsha today, Mr. Will Zhao, Head of Metcash Asia said, “Our business in China continues to grow, and by joining forces with The Export Group, Metcash Asia will have an expanded range of market leading services including market entry strategy development, brand planning and social media services to our clients. This is in addition to our ongoing focus on expanding channels.”

This initial co-operation is seen as the first step to potential further collaboration between both companies.
