Following the confirmation of the Xinfadi wholesale food market outbreak in Beijing on June 13, the total number of cases linked to this cluster now stands at 137 (information accurate as of June 17).

Some cities across China have started to issue orders for quarantine of travellers from Beijing. These include Shandong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Fujian, and Shanghai, who have introduced a range of quarantine measures. Travellers who have booked travel into Beijing over the next two weeks are encouraged to reschedule where possible.
