Focus on the Opportunities and Challenges Brought by the Foreign Investment Law
On March 15, 2019, the Second Session of the 13th National People's Congress voted to adopt the Foreign Investment Law of the People's Republic of China.
This Law will come into effect as of January 1, 2020, will supersede the current 'Three Principal Foreign Investment Laws' and become a fundamental law in the field of foreign investment. This is a major change in the legal system for the foreign investment field.
On April 19th, Dentons will hold a seminar together with the Wolters Kluwer Group based in the Netherlands to interpret these changes in details. The seminar will explore:
- The background of the US-China trade war and the economic de-globalization across the world
- What kind of impacts will these changes have on foreign-invested enterprises and foreign investors?
- What kind of opportunities will these changes bring?
