Interview with Janey Lee, Managing Director of NIHAO Global Corporation Limited
Janey Lee, managing director and co-founder of NIHAO Global Corporation Limited was recently interviewed by a Melbourne based media group 'Business Circle'.
Driven by her strong work ethic generated from her upbringing, along with a passion in facilitating cross-cultural communication, Janey co-founded Nihao Global in 2013 with Nigel Blair. Both, understood that a large number of foreign businesses and enterprises found it extremely challenging to navigate in China. Nihao Global accelerated its business by securing Victorian Government super trade mission to China in 2013, where it successfully recruited approximately 300 qualified translators and interpreters for the entire event across 9 cities.
Continuing the growth and success, in 2017, Nihao Global won ‘Business Excellence Award for Small-To-Medium’ under the AustCham Westpac Australia-China Business Awards (ACBAs). It was also been researched by Universities, as a success story in China market entry.
Recently, prompted by the idea of the sharing economy and internet technology, Janey has been exploring the possibilities of making her traditional interpreting business into a ‘global accessible platform’ , which once developed will be widely utilized in the global tourism and emergency services market, to continue the ongoing growth and expansion of the business.
