National Briefing: The State of Australia-China Relations with the Australian Ambassador to China, Graham Fletcher

Join ACBC for an exclusive briefing with Australia’s Ambassador to China, Graham Fletcher, as we evaluate the state of Australia-China bilateral relations and the prospects for a constructive and positive path forward for Australia-China business on Thursday, 25 March 2021.

Ambassador Fletcher will provide an update from the Australian Embassy in Beijing on the current status of the Australia-China relationship and the pressing issues around trade, investment and broader bilateral relations.

The Embassy’s Minister Counsellor (Economic), Lachlan Crews, will brief members on the outlook for China’s economy and the forthcoming 14th 5 Year Plan. Austrade’s General Manager for Greater China, Daniel Boyer, will shed light on what this means for business and share insights on consumer behaviour and digital trends.

ACBC National President David Olsson and former AustCham Hong Kong CEO Jacinta Reddan will lead a panel session to discuss questions posed by ACBC members on matters concerning the bilateral relationship and Australia-China business relations.

This event will feature a moderated Q&A session, where members will have the opportunity to submit questions to be asked of the Ambassador and panel.

All questions must be submitted prior to the event. To submit a question, please email james.scullin@acbc.com.au by Thursday March 18th.

The event will be hosted on the WebEx digital platform and log in details will be circulated ahead of the event.
