Workshop: Accelerate Your Leadership Development

About this Event

Who is it for?

Students and graduates who are looking to enter the workforce.

Why would you come?

A lot of people think the first few years of working is all about learning. Whilst learning is important, it’s also critical for young professionals to recognise that building a successful long-term career starts from day 1. It’s also rare for people to think that they can start learning about leadership early on in their careers, especially since they don’t have the socially-expected tenure or the title to warrant the need to learn. However, what a lot of people neglect to recognise is leadership skills take years to acquire and master, therefore, when you’re given the “title” and are expected to act like a leader without the necessary knowledge and skills, it’s arguably a bit too late.

What will you get out of?

You’ll get real, practical examples of how many young professionals have progressed quicker and further than others in the professional work environment. The session will address:

What can you do differently to create a strong personal brand in your first year of employment?

How do you balance “learning” (for self) and “contributing” (for the organisation)?

How do get noticed for the right reasons?

How to acquire the core leadership skills required to have long-term success in your professional working career

Who is the facilitator?

“I’ve seen, and have worked closely with hundreds of young professionals who have obtained the coveted “manager” or “director” title early on in their careers. My passion is to discover what makes these individuals unique, and hope to translate their successes into practical advice for others to follow. As a young professional myself, I am also keen to share how I have personally progressed up the career ladder, and the many valuable lessons I have learnt along the way.”
