On Monday the 17th of October, AustCham Shanghai hosted two back-to-back webinars.

Briefing with Australian Minister

for Trade and Tourism

In the first, AustCham Shanghai in partnership with Austrade, AustCham China and AustCham Hong Kong hosted a member only briefing with Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon Don Farrell. The briefing provided members an opportunity to hear directly from Senator Farrell on Australia’s trade and investment outlook, key opportunities and international engagement.


It also provided the opportunity for the AustCham chapters represented by Simon Woods, CEO of AustCham Shanghai, Brendan Mason, Managing Director of AustCham China, and Stefanie Evennett, Chief Executive of AustCham Hong Kong to share with the Minister, on the ground challenges and opportunities facing Australian businesses across Greater China at this time.

In the second webinar, FMCG Industry experts Frank Li, Managing Director of 31Jiu and Chair of AustCham Shanghai’s Food, Beverage and Agribusiness Forum, Johnny Jiang, Insight Lead at Penfolds, Eric Yu, Co-CEO of United Media Solution (UMS), Kitty Liu, Managing Director for Greater China at Blackmores, and Tim York, Chief Operating Officer at v2food provided timely in-market updates and key strategies for success for FMCG brands in the China market.
