Top Australian Brands in China Revealed in New Report

According to Australian Brands in China Index produced by Monash University, local beauty brand Australian Creams has been voted the no.1 most trusted Australian brand name amongst mainland Chinese consumers, surpassing the likes of global giants such as Qantas and Crown Group.

A total of 5,464 Chinese consumers in Mainland China were surveyed across 70 Australian brands in seven separate industries (including FMCG, wine, tourism and beauty) to decipher the brand awareness, purchase consideration and consumer motivations in relation to Australian brands.

The index findings revealed a number of surprising revelations, including the popularity of Australian Creams amongst men, as well as many other beauty products, more generally, placing very highly amongst the most trusted Australian brands for Chinese men. While for Chinese women, the top four brands related to tourism.

Other brands such as Weet-Bix, EMU Australia, Coles, Chemist Warehouse, Myer, and Destination Gold Coast also featured on the list.
