Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong opened in 2003, located on the East side of Shanghai in PuDong, about 16km from the city centre. It is a flourishing school that provides a top quality education for approximately 1100 students from Toddler to Year 13. The College follows an enhanced English National Curriculum, prepares students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Years 10 and 11 and follows the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in the final years. At all ages the Curriculum is modified and adapted to suit the diverse international student body. In 2006 the College completed a major building and renovation programme that now provides all three schools (DUCKS, Junior School and Senior School) with the most outstanding facilities. All the classrooms are designed to be age appropriate and the latest Information Communication Technology (ICT) resources are available to be integrated into the learning and teaching at all levels. A Dulwich College education, however, is far more than what happens in the classroom, no matter how important that might be. Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong offers a full range of co-curricular activities and educational visits throughout the year and the students distinguish themselves by their involvement in the extensive Performing Arts and Sports programmes. These activities are supported by excellent facilities –sports hall, gymnasium, playing fields, state-of-the-art theatre and purpose built music recital and practice rooms. It is not, however, just superb facilities that make an outstanding school. The staff embodies a wide range of experience and a wealth of enthusiasm. The parents are tremendously supportive and contribute a huge amount of time and energy to College events.
