AustCham Shanghai is honored to partner with British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and Canadian Chamber of Commerce to host a panel discusion on Digital Marketing Strategies in current China.


Amid COVID-19, we have seen the inevitable failures of traditional marketing methods. Digital marketing turns out to be the only way out, sometimes providing even better results. It has become the key of promoting brand awareness and sales. What are the keys to Digital Marketing Strategies? How to promote brand awareness with relatable Digital Marketing? How should companies define themselves in this forever evolving, unpredictable digital world?

In this panel discussion, panelists Ryan Molloy, Aron Solomons, and Aaron Chang will talk about Digital Marketing Strategies in current China. We will discuss on how companies can do to harness and build one's digital technology and platform. We will be using real case studies to demonstrate how digital tools can be used to assist one in navigating through the digital future.

Aaron Chang
CEO & Founder of JINGdigital

Aaron is CEO and founder of JINGdigital. In 2014, he discovered the infinite possibility of WeChat ecosystem and launched JINGdigital. Since its foundation, JINGdigital focuses on developing marketing automation technology based on WeChat ecosystem, providing leading marketing automation support for brands across the globe, helping brands create valuable personal connections at scale and improving marketing conversion rates. Aaron’s career began with McCann Erickson. In 2006 he moved to Shanghai and founded ACHANG webdev, a web development agency that worked with hundreds of brands and startups.


Ryan Molloy
CEO of Redfern Digital

Ryan Molloy has lived in China for over 17 years and has worked in the China marketing industry for nearly 10 of them. As CEO of Redfern Digital, he has worked with some of the biggest brands coming into market, covering branding, strategy, social media marketing and more.


Aron Solomons
Associate Director of The Silk Initiative

Aron is an Associate Director at The Silk Initiative (TSI). TSI is a brand consultancy that uses data-led foresight to future-proof ambitious consumer brands. Part of the Strategy & Insights function his specialty is ensuring all work ladders up to actionable trategies that can be clearly adopted and implemented to achieve client business objectives.

Before joining TSI, Aron worked at Mindshare in a range of strategy and insight positions both in London and Shanghai. He developed data-led marketing and brand strategies for a range of clients across a full spectrum of industries including Nestle, Jaguar Land Rover, Dyson, and the New Zealand Tourism Board.

Originally from the United Kingdom, he has a MA from Cambridge University in Geography. In his spare time you will find him writing and broadcasting about cultural happenings connected to China, or developing his own eco-friendly glitter brand.
