Jerry Clode, The Founder of the Solution, conducts hundreds of interviews with Chinese consumers every year - in their homes and out-shopping. He is one if not the only foreigners who enjoys this privileged access to the lives of locals.
After a career as a China specialist and lecturer at RMIT University, Jerry began his commercial career as a focus-group moderator, helping international brands to localise for the Chinese market. This included work with Disney to create a Chinese expression of Disneyworld in Shanghai. In his preceding 20+ years in the industry, Jerry has held senior roles with WPP in Singapore and London, where he created new methodologies to help global clients gain deeper insight into consumer behaviour. Most recently, Jerry worked as the Head of Social and Digital Insight at Resonance China, where his work shaped the digital strategy of brands such as Tiffany, Shell, Bose and Adidas.
Going independent with The Solution, Jerry wanted to move outside of the agency model so his skills are now accessible and cost-friendly to a wider group of ambitious clients.
